The image is that of the Red River Valley in Manitoba, Canada. Could it be this river that inspired the song of the same name? This beautiful city of Winnipeg, Manitoba, was home for this blogger for nearly four years in the 80s. It was surprising indeed to find that the river he likes to sing about, runs through this city. He has been back to Winnipeg twice in the last 20 years.
