By now everyone in Jamaica and Dancehall fans everywhere should have heard about Lisa Hype and her infamous oral sex photograph. This photo received quite a few comments from the Jamaican public as well as fellow Dancehall artistes. One artiste in particular, female DJ Stacious capitalized on this revelation with a song she penned that featured lyrics pertaining to Lisa Hype's oral tendency. however, it seems Lisa Hype's fallout from her oral sex photo did not just stop at the public opinion or the damning words of other Dancehall artistes!

Lisa Hype has been "blown" off,, yes expelled from the Portmore Empire by the their leader Vybez Kartel. According to The Jamaica Star, Vybez has issued a statement saying, "the members of the Empire have unanimously agreed to end our professional relationship especially in light of certain 'developments' that have come to our attention regarding her overall conduct. Conduct that is not consistent with the decorum expected of a member of the Portmore Empire." No doubt this "certain developments regarding Lisa Hype's conduct is in reference to her photo graph and proud admittance of performing oral sex. However, I find this statement and action by Vybez Kartel and his Portmore Empire to be very hypocritical! This is coming from a man who in one of his biggest and most well known song was in full support of a woman performing oral sex! In case you forget, let me drop a quote from his song "Tek Buddy Gyal",

... Tek rod fi di goods from seprod
Plus di ceramic tiles and di gold plate door knob
That a guh cause yuh a blow job...

... Mines sing and DJ like Lady G
A who pay yuh visa fee?
Grab me cocky and sing pan it like Alicia Key...

If it is fact that the reason Vybez is dismissing Lisa Hype is because of the fact that she was caught performing oral sex, then he is a big hypocrite! She is just, as I see it, living up to the expectation of her mentor, the Gaza king, Vybez Kartel. I even suspect that it was probably Kartel's "mic" she was "deejaying" on, if I read deeply into certain images. Granted I am not coming to the defense of Lisa Hype. I'm not sorry for her, as it's her responsibility to ensure her private acts remain private. However, I just find our Dancehall artistes to be too hypocritical on many topics and the subject of oral sex is one in the forefront. If they hit out against it in their songs and statements, then they shouldn't be practicing it at all (either doing or having it done to them) under the quiet. These DJs need to be true to their words and stop to two mouth, two tongue thing!

Man or Woman, Identify Yourself!

That's exactly what the IAAF is saying to Caster Semanya, the eighteen year old winner of the 2009 800m World Championships! The Guardian reports, "The International Association of Athletics Federations (IAAF) yesterday revealed that Semenya has been the subject of a gender verification process both in her native South Africa, and since she arrived in Berlin. The official investigation could take weeks to draw conclusions with an endocrinologist, a gynaecologist and a psychologist all involved." This dark shadow of doubt about the sex of Caster has now come to the forefront since she claimed victory in the women's 800m World Championships well ahead of the other competitors with a Personal Best of 1 minute 55.45 seconds. But why has a major sporting association raised this sensitive and controversial issue?

I only learned about this sensational and controversial athlete on Wednesday night, and had to check this out for myself. At first I thought hey were questioning her gender because she was somewhat muscular, but I was totally amazed... [rephrase] shocked by her photos! No disrespect to this athlete, but I could definitely see why her gender was in question here. I sat there going through several pictures for female traits and I am still looking! Her entire built appears to be male, broad shoulders, tapered stature, no hips, masculine chiseled face and very well defined! The only thing that appears to be missing is the "male package" in the pubic area! I must admit, after going through several photos, I too have raised questions about the sex of Caster Semanya. I have even gone as far as analyzing her name... Cast (h)er, Se(e) men ya(h)!

But putting the crude jokes aside, it must be a very emotional and stressful period for this athlete, in a moment when she and her country should be celebrating a great victory and a milestone in her life and career. Not only is her gender being questioned by curious onlookers, but her gender is being questioned very publicly on the international scene with hints of the possibility of her being stripped of her medal and title. It is not the first time as the Guardian reports, "Semenya's coach, Michael Seme, says he is well used to the commotion. He recalls stopping to use the facilities at a petrol station in Cape Town recently and as Semenya tried to enter the women's toilets, she was stopped by the petrol attendants. "Caster just laughed and asked if they would like her to take off her pants to show them she was a woman,"". Hopefully she can display the same lightheartedness where this much larger issue is concerned. I wish Caster all the best and hope, this is just a case of mistaken identity, that she is actually a "born woman" and that she can celebrate her victory and continue to make strides as an athlete.

World AIDS Day 2K8

Today is World AIDS day, a day when the world pays even more attention to the ruthless killer. A killer disease that knows no bounds and respects no life, man, woman, father, mother, child, it kills indiscriminately. HIV/AIDS has made such an impact on our world's societies, since it first manifested itself and it still continues to claim many lives despite the desperate attempts of our leading researchers.

According avert.org an estimated 33 million people worldwide are infected with HIV/AIDS, which is a staggering number! But even worse is that there are a lot of persons living with this infection and don't even know. This is also so true of our tiny island Jamaica and many of our neighboring Caribbean islands. Despite the many AIDS campaign and effort to curb the rate of infection, this malady continues to grow like an unstoppable monster. The indicated global trend shows that the number of infected persons is growing at an alarming rate every year.

While scientist attempt the impossible of finding a cure and the most plausible task of making a vaccine, this disease will continue to ravage humanity, the most we can do is to take steps to protect ourselves from ever contracting the disease. I know we all have heard the three major ones before, but I guess it doesn't hurt to repeat:

• Stick to on faithful uninfected partner
• Use a condom
• Practice abstinence

We are all affected by this disease in some way or the other as it is a worldwide disease and not limited to any nationality or ethnic group. So let us always protect ourselves from this killer disease. Also HIV/AIDS does not discriminate, so neither should we, and as such we should treat people living with this disease as a fellow human beings.

Condolences to the families who have lost loved ones to HIV/AIDS and my sympathy goes out to those who are suffering from this terrible disease.

Daggering!

No it is not some violent means of killing people, but if you look at it it certainly looks like a very violent activity! Daggering is one of the latest craze in the Dancehall these days, it may be refereed to as one of the new dances, even though I do not consider it a dance at all. To me Daggering is more like an over exaggerated sexual act or very dangerous and violent dry humping. This new, so-called, dance has been a staple at almost all the Dancehall sessions held on a daily basis... yes I did say daily.

Daggering is a dance that is performed by a male and a female and consist of over the top gyrating, heavy pelvis thrusting and daredevil leaps by both dancers on each other. I am proud of the fact that as Jamaicans our creativity seems to be boundless as we create new dance moves almost every day. However, Daggering is not one of these dances that I am proud to claim as Jamaican, to me it is... barbaric and makes Jamaicans look extremely uncivilized. I am still in disbelieve that people go out on a nightly basis just to behave like this. Well that's just my opinion on this new dance called Daggering, but you decide for yourself.



No sah no Daggering for me!

Child Killers

A nation without a future is what we are about to become if we continue on the path of reckless, uninhibited carnage and genocide against our nation's children. This callous and loveless behavior towards our children, our nation's future by wicked elements in our society is growing with each passing year and is ballooning with no solution in sight. In many of these cases a perpetrator is never found so that justice could be served to give the grieving relatives and friends closure to this horrid act.

A little over two weeks ago 11 year old Ananda Dean was reported missing, which prompted the desperate pleas of her parents and relatives on both our largest local television station. But on Sunday morning every one's worse fear seemed to have become a reality when a decomposing body of a child was found in the Belvedere Hills of St. Andrew, several miles away from where Ananda Dean was last seen. The nude, advanced decomposed body was found in a precipice with uniform and other clothing items scattered nearby. This story is not a strange one to me, as I have heard this story played out several times before in my short life so far. It is so hard to imagine someone doing such a devious and evil act against anyone, much more a poor child. Yet this is something that just seem to happen, rendering the parents and police powerless in the face of such evil.

However the nation would not get a chance to breathe again before another shock, as on the following Monday night news broke of a NINE (9) MONTH OLD child that was molested and slain. Just the though of a infant that young suffering such a horrible act send shivers down my spine, and makes me blaze with anger! Such acts aught not to happen! How could this happen in our society? How could people allow such an act to be carried out under their roof?

These two acts are also just on the heels of another gruesome murder, where another child's dismembered, decomposing body was found in a bag in some bushes. The death tool now stands at 57 children and the year has not ended, thus based on this trend we can brace ourselves for more of these heartless acts. It seems nothing is being done to stop this carnage. Or is it that nothing can be done to stop it?

Parents need to more vigilant where their children are concerned, they need to be protective and to teach their children to by wary of strangers form an early age. But parents can't be with their children all the time and all the preparation an teaching a parent does is not a guarantee that the child will be safe. The police have to play a part, the school has to play a part, the government has to make the necessary legislative changes and enforce through the law, and society has to also look out for our children. It may not stop theses incidents, but maybe it can reduce these frequency of the carnage one our youths.

It's Friday again! Yay!... Well, nothing much to get excited about though, even though I am, strangely, off this weekend. The thing is, I am so used to NOT having weekends off, that when I do get one I don't know what the hell to do with it. So of course, this is one such weekend that I have no particular plans for. But I am sure that I will find something to do, even if it is lazing around the entire weekend, after all doesn't a hard working young man deserve that! So what has the Stundar (Stunner Radar) picked up this week?

Who Am I?
During my regular browsing on the Internet I found out that Beenie Man, the girls dem suga or more like D'Angel suga daddy, has released his biography entitled "Who am I?... The untold Story of Beenie Man" [photos here]. Well this seems to be a good move to increase his earnings, but come on, there are actually more stories? Beenie Man's life has been basically a public saga from his inception into Dancehall till now! The latest being his well known love affair with female Dancehall Artiste, D'Angel. But based on what we know so far of the Artiste's dramatic life, this book should definitely be interesting!

More Celebrity Expos'e!
The Internet expos'e continues in our little island of Jamaica! This comes hot off the heels of recent videos of well known Jamaican television/media personalities engaging in their personal sexual activities. There are pictures being circulated on the Internet, I know because I got them, of a popular television personality posing topless for the camera. In the picture there is no mistaking who she is or where she works as if you look closely you can see her company logo on the shirt she had on. But what is interesting about this one is that she is the coworker of the famous "Milk" and as if that is not enough, she is now hosting the very same show that Milk hosted before the release of her sex tape! Maybe it is just me, or is something a bit fishy about this? Looking in, looking out, looking even better, indeed!

Gloom Over the City
Once again the city of Kingston has been covered with gloom, no not crime, that hasn't left! No it's smoke sweeping through the city from the Riverton landfill as it is once again on fire. I personally have not been affected by the smoke as persons in other areas of the corporate area have. Maybe it's due to my location or the wind direction, but even though it seems the smoke has reached everywhere by now, it is not as bad where I am. The last time (yes, it seems to happen every year) there was a fire, I was living off Red Hills road and I ended up at the doctor and on medication. So I have a lot to be thankful for this time.

That's just some of the news hitting the Stunner-waves this week. Hopefully I will enjoy my weekend off and hope you will too! As I haven't dropped on of these in a long time, here is a Weekend Eye Candy to kick-off the weekend.

Videos, Videos and More Sex Videos!

It seems like it is a new phenomenon to sweep the Jamaican landscape, no not hurricanes we get that almost every year, it is sex videos galore! From horny adults, to high school teens, to pre-teens, television personalities and even actors, everybody seems to be doing it these days. It seems the voyeuristic side of Jamaicans has grown exponentially these last few years with several videos being circulated on the Internet and on cellphones via bluetooth! Adults and children alike having sex with their partner, some performing oral sex and even orgies are being recorded by the parties involved or their compatriots!

I can seem to count the amount of "school girl" videos I have received in my email and on my cellphone, as it seems the "schoolers" seem to be the most common perpetrators... or should I say porn stars! I can even remember the most shocking video I saw, where pre-teens were having sex on the steps of a school in plain view of even younger children! I have even received one with high two high school boys batterying (orgy) a school girl. But the "schoolers" aren't the only one getting in on the act as there have been several videos of adults having sex and oral sex have been in regular circulation. This is not limited to just your average unknown faces, but local television personalities and actors have been participating in the habit of recording their private sexual acts! this has been highlighted by the latest videos, one featuring Milk and the other featuring Johnny and Donisha (Yes mi a call name, everybody done know already). But it seems these tapes are not ending soon as even up to tonight I received one of a female, supposedly an employee of a well known bank, having sex with who appears to be her boyfriend.

But the question is, what prompts people to knowingly record, or allow the recording of there most private acts with the knowledge that there is a very good possibility it might fall into the wrong hands and get circulated? I it too much exposure to pornographic movies that has induced this voyeuristic behavior? Is it the ease of videoing these acts, brought about by improved technology? Or is it just an inherent curiosity we all have to see ourselves "performing", that overwhelms us to give in to recording our intimate moments? I will not say it is wrong to video ones own sexual activities, to each is own and everyone has the right to seek pleasure. However, as with everything else those who choose to video themselves "doing the nasty" need to be responsible enough to ensure they can really trust the other party/parties and take all precautions to prevent that video from leaking.

But even with all the precautions, "shit" still happens and some of these videos do get out. I do feel sorry for these persons who get caught, even though the videos serve as entertainment, hehehe. Whatever adults choose to do is their private business even though it may end up public and they made their "grown up" decision to do so. But, it is the videos of the these "schoolers", teens and worse pre-teens, that bothers me. But with how do we break this trend when technology makes it so easy to make a video? When there is abundant sex videos on cable, in stores and one the streets? And when there are persons interesting in videoing their intimate moments? This seems to be a growing phenomenon, which we may not be able to stop as we continue to see videos, videos and more sex videos!

Condoms In School

The issue of distributing condoms in schools as a means to promote safe sex and to curb the growing epidemic of STD's in the country has been a center of controversy for some time now and it once again resurfaced. Many argue that quite a large number of high school students are partaking in unsafe sexual practices, thus putting themselves at risk of contracting a sexually transmitted disease. There are two main sides to this difficult puzzle, those who are for condoms in schools and those who are against issuing condoms to these minors.

Some from the pro condoms conclude that preaching abstinence to teens with raging hormones who are bombarded with sex from almost every angle is futile or is just not enough. So if these minors are going to have sex anyway, why not give them the means to protect themselves and so it safely. I must agree that the do have a point to some extent. Teens and children alike are surrounded these days with sex and sexual overtones constantly from readily available sources: music, 'blue movies' (pornographic films), printed material, their peers and adults alike, television shows and even commercials, and the list continues. Not all children have "model parent" who will guide them in the right direction and even that is not full proof. Hence, simply encouraging them to abstain from sex does little to stop these children from engaging in risky sexual behaviors and I still haven't seen a store that sells chastity belts. Therefore, teaching these children about safe sex and providing them with the tool, the condom, to protect themselves seems like a very good way to retard the spread of STD's among these school teens.

But I also agree with the stance taken by those who are against handing out condoms in school. Why? Well they argue that giving condoms to these teens in school, these minors, is tantamount to giving them a license to engage in illicit sex. And if you think about it, they have a point as it could be viewed by these minors, that by giving them condoms, we condone their sexual activities and have accepted that they can do as they feel.

Minors should not be having sex, but they are and they are doing it recklessly at times. The issue of whether or not we should distribute condoms to minors in our nation's schools is a very sensitive issue. Also, it may not be the answer to this ever growing problem of minors having sex and the side effects of teenage pregnancy and STD's. This problem is bigger than the schools can handle, it needs the wider community, religion, parents, government, our entire society. Maybe we need to go back to the drawing board: remove the sexual stimulants in our entertainment and advertisements, instill good moral values in our children by being better parents, talk with our children about sex, closely monitor our children, implement stronger penalties for adults who take advantage of the youths, and of course teach them about safe sex.

If anybody lives in the Caribbean or has lived in the Caribbean and is in their twenties or older would remember the Dollar Wine song. How could we forget, especially that part about leaving out the small change and giving the bog money wine! Oh yes, I remember those days. Well, it seems the younger ones these days have found a whole new interpretation and have taken inflation into account with what is now called the Ten Dollar Wine!

According to The Star, they have received reports that female students at some of the high schools in St. Catherine are selling sexual favours to male students starting at an asking price of JM$10. One teacher, interviewed by The Star, said, "I know some of them sell 'wine' for $10, and in other schools they sell it for $50. I know that they charge $100 just to push it in". Yes, these nine to eleven grade young girls are selling their bodies and sexual favours for a s cheap as JM$10 (approximately US$0.14)! [Article]

It seems things are just getting from bad to worse with our youth. These misguided young girls seem to have no pride in themselves and no respect for their bodies as they find it easy to give 'it' up for a few dollars or a ride in the taxi or the front seat of the infamous bashment minibus. I agree that times are hard, but they can't be that hard for these school girls to be offering sexual favours to male students and grown men for little or nothing! Ratid, JM$100, can hardly buy a patty and an box drink much less $10!

Something needs to be done to help these wayward girls. It is easier said than done and no one, two or three plans can solve this problem, but we as a nation need to make a start. I would love to say it starts at home and that the parents of these children need to talk to them, show them right from wrong and instill discipline in the foolish minds of the school girls. But sadly, some of these parents do not know any better or don't even care. The school needs to play a part in helping these young girls to see the value of themselves, to have self worth and pride and also to dicipline these out of control teens. However, the school is severely limited in what they can do where this is concerned as their primary goal academia. And even if the school decided to dicipline these teens, they run the risk of facing the wrath of the teens' family members and eve the same parents that should be working as a team in bringing up these children in the right way. Then we still have to contend with all the negative influences these teems feed on from their environment, entertainment and so called role models. It is indeed a sad state of affairs and a gloom fore gleam into the future of this country.

Maybe we should start a mentorship programme, maybe the schools should offer more guidance as a part of its curriculum and be tougher where discipline is concerned. Maybe, some of these parents need to be counseled and helped to provide the guidance and discipline needed to curb this trend in our girls. maybe we need to get the arm of the law involved. I don't know, but something needs to be done for this trend to stop.

On Diddling Foreign Beings

I am a gringa who recently visited Korea with a teaching group and spent time with some Korean college students. Of course, all of our cracker boys had huge crushes on the small, dainty, ultra-feminine Korean women. I never expected the reverse to be true. Compared to the cute little Korean girls, us Americans felt like huge amazon women. But, one of the Korean guys told me that they all lusted after western girls. Since returning to the US, I have heard from other Korean men that western girls are too big and hairy for them. Was the first Korean telling the truth or was he just trying to take advantage of a stereotypically loose American?

All the Koreans you spoke to told 100 percent truth. You made a classic mistake in dealing with immigrant minorities -- thinking that those in America are the same with those in the motherland. Korean Americans are a very different species from Koreans in Korea, and the same principle applies to every minority in the U.S. who immigrated from somewhere else.

Korean American men, after all, live in America. They have seen, dated, and (hopefully) had sex with all different kinds of women. Majority of Korean American men, in the Korean's experience, do prefer Korean or Asian women. The Korean thinks it's really more about familiarity; the first people that all of us ever see are our parents, so we are more used to people who look like us. (Disclaimer: The Korean is an equal opportunity dater, although the Korean Girlfriend is, in fact, Korean.) But certainly, plenty of Korean men say they don't like white women because they are too big and hairy.

Koreans men in Korea are a different story, and the lesson here is this: men are the same everywhere. When you visit any American porn site (No link. Find your own.) there is always a separate category for "Asians". Well, guess what? If you visit any Asian porn stie, they always have a tab that says "white". In fact, the Korean is convinced that if we met an extraterrestrial being tomorrow, there will be alien porn on the Internet the day after. Men are fascinated by the idea of dipping their pen into all kinds of different inks, and this runs true across time and space. As much as there is yellow fever in America, there is white fever in Asia.
